The Christmas and New Year celebrations at Devakripa Senior Citizens Home, Attavar, were truly heartwarming and memorable. It was a wonderful experience to join the elderly residents, alongside individuals of all age groups, caretakers, staff, and the sisters, in bringing joy and festive cheer to everyone.

On Christmas Eve, we visited the residents in their living rooms to wish them a Merry Christmas. The atmosphere came alive with the melodies of Christmas carols and songs, accompanied by drums and musical instruments. The joyful tears in the eyes of the residents expressed their gratitude and happiness. Their smiles and positive vibes brought immense satisfaction and encouragement to all those who participated.

The New Year celebrations on January 5, 2025, were equally delightful. Members of the CASK Trust, led by Mrs. Patsy Lobo, organized a special get-together to greet the residents and staff at Devakripa. The program began with a warm welcome address by Sr. Claudius, the administrator.

The Catholic students of the Milagres Parish of different age group presented a delightful role play depicting the birth of Jesus, followed by a vibrant cultural dance performance. Adding to the festive spirit, Ms. Stella, representing the residents of Devakripa, performed an action song that enthralled the audience. The CASK Trust members generously distributed gifts to all those present, spreading joy and warmth. One of the members shared an inspiring New Year message, wishing everyone good health, peace, and happiness for the year ahead.

The celebration concluded with Sr. Kripa delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks on behalf of the Devakripa Memorial Trust. She expressed deep gratitude to the benefactors, CASK Trust members, and their collaborators, as well as the Catholic students and their teachers, for their efforts in making the occasion so special.

The event was filled with laughter, happiness, and moments of togetherness. The residents and staff remain deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making these celebrations memorable. May God bless the goodwill and efforts of all those who supported this joyous occasion.
